Investigating the effect of cultural capital on the behavior of Franqesh with the mediating role of professional growth among the employees of Kazeroon Islamic United Azad University

Abstract
Introduction and Purpose: The present study aimed to investigate the effect of cultural capital on extra‑role behaviors with the mediating role of professional growth among the employees of the Islamic Azad University, Kazeroon Branch.
Methodology: This research employed a descriptive‑correlational design. The statistical population consisted of all employees of the Islamic Azad University, Kazeroon Branch (N = 210), from whom 132 individuals were selected based on Krejcie and Morgan’s table using simple random sampling. Data were collected through three instruments: Bourdieu’s Cultural Capital Questionnaire (2000), Van den Haaf and Hendricks’ Extra‑Role Behaviors Questionnaire (2004), and Ackfelt and Coate’s Professional Growth Questionnaire (2005). The validity of the questionnaires was confirmed by expert review, and their reliability was verified through a pilot test with 20 participants. The reliability coefficients were estimated as 0.869 for cultural capital, 0.859 for extra‑role behaviors, and 0.790 for professional growth. Data analysis was conducted using SPSS and AMOS software, with a significance level of 0.05 considered for all hypotheses.
Findings: The results indicated that cultural capital significantly influences extra‑role behaviors, and professional growth plays a meaningful mediating role in this relationship among the employees of the Islamic Azad University, Kazeroon Branch.
Conclusion: Given that the findings demonstrate the substantial role of cultural capital in enhancing employees’ extra‑role behaviors and the significant mediating effect of professional growth, it can be concluded that strengthening cultural capital and
