Abstract
Introduction and Objective: The present study aimed to examine the impact of workplace spirituality on teachers’ work engagement through the mediating role of organizational health in Kazerun. Research Methodology: This research was conducted using a descriptive–correlational design. The statistical population comprised all teachers in Kazeroon (N = 410), from which a sample of 198 participants was selected through simple random sampling based on Morgan’s table. Research instruments included the Workplace Spirituality Scale developed by Milliman et al. (2003), the Work Engagement Scale by Schaufeli (2003), and the Organizational Health Questionnaire by Hoy and Feldman (1996). Content validity was confirmed by an academic supervisor, and reliability was assessed using Cronbach’s alpha coefficients: 0.71 for workplace spirituality, 0.82 for work engagement, and 0.70 for organizational health. Findings: The results revealed that workplace spirituality significantly influences work engagement through the mediating role of organizational health (β = 1.601). Moreover, workplace spirituality had direct positive effects on both work engagement (β = 0.531) and organizational health (β = 0.123). Conclusion: Workplace spirituality exerts a positive effect on teachers’ work engagement both directly and indirectly via organizational health, with the indirect pathway demonstrating a stronger influence. Hence, enhancing organizational health can substantially reinforce the link between workplace spirituality and work engagement among teachers.
