Abstract
Introduction and goal: In the contemporary era, a paradigm shift from managing physical assets to investing in intangible psychological capacities has established the concept of psychological capital as a source of sustainable competitive advantage in organizations and educational institutions. The overall aim of this research is to take a new look at psychological capital in schools. Research methodology: This study employed a descriptive research method with a library-based approach. Findings: The research findings indicate that psychological capital—comprising self-efficacy, hope, optimism, and resilience—is a composite and developable construct that serves as a source of sustainable competitive advantage in organizations. In educational environments, this capital transcends the individual level and becomes a "transformative collective capital" that elevates the school climate. This enhancement is achieved particularly through strengthening "intelligent proactivity" in students; relying on this capital, they move beyond passivity and take active and constructive action to improve educational and social conditions. Consequently, the school transforms into a workshop for nurturing responsible, resilient, and proactive citizens who know how to create and strive for a better future. Conclusion:. Psychological capital fosters a generation of resilient, hopeful, and proactive individuals by creating an enabling ecosystem within the school. This transformation turns the school from an educational institution into a workshop for active citizenship and lays the foundation for a participatory and responsible future.
