Abstract
Introduction and goal: The purpose of this study was to investigate the mediating role of social capital on the relationship between quality of work life and burnout of employees of higher education centers in Momsani city.
Research methodology: The present study was applied in terms of nature and purpose and descriptive-correlation research in terms of data collection method. The statistical population in this study was all employees of higher education centers in Momsani city (133 people) and using the Morgan-Krejci table, 99 employees were considered as samples and the sampling method was stratified random. In this study, Walton's (1988) standard questionnaires for quality of work life, Abdul-Malaki et al.'s social capital (2015) and Maslash's (1982) job burnout were used to collect statistical information. The content validity of all three questionnaires was confirmed by experts and its reliability was determined after a pilot study among 30 employees by calculating Cronbach's alpha for the three questionnaires as 0.846, 0.873 and 0.834, respectively. Pearson correlation tests and path analysis were used to analyze the data.
Findings: The results of the Pearson correlation test showed that there was a significant relationship between quality of work life, social capital, and job burnout.
Conclusion:. The results of the path analysis test showed that social capital has a mediating role in the relationship between quality of work life and job burnout of employees of higher education centers in Momsani County.
