A Comparison of Professional Competence, Resilience, and Job Stress among Elementary School Teachers in Special Education and Mainstream Schools in Yasuj

Abstract
The aim of the present study was to "compare professional competence, resilience and job stress in teachers of exceptional and regular primary schools in Yasuj". In terms of nature and objectives, this research was applied and the research method was causal-comparative. The statistical population was all teachers of exceptional and regular primary schools in Yasuj. Using the convenience sampling method, 60 regular teachers and 60 exceptional teachers were selected. In order to collect teachers' opinions, the questionnaires of the Teacher Professional Competence Questionnaire by Khouroshi and Mohammadi Vandeshi (2016), Conroe-Davidson's Resilience (2003) and Rasouli's Job Stress (2015) were used. Multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA) was used to analyze the data. The results showed that there is a significant difference between professional competence and its dimensions in exceptional and regular teachers. There is a significant difference between the resilience of exceptional and regular teachers. There is also a significant difference between job stress and its dimensions in exceptional and regular teachers.
