Abstract
Introduction and Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of positive leadership on teachers’ organizational creativity with the mediating role of their psychological empowerment in the Department of Education of Kazerun.
Methodology: This applied research employed a descriptive-correlational design. The statistical population consisted of all primary school teachers in Kazerun, totaling 411 individuals according to the Education Department’s records. Using Morgan’s table, a sample of 198 teachers was selected through simple random sampling. The instruments included Cameron’s (2018) Positive Leadership Questionnaire, Amabile’s (2001) Organizational Creativity Questionnaire, and Spreitzer and Mishra’s (1992) Standard Psychological Empowerment Questionnaire. Content validity was confirmed by the research supervisor, and reliability coefficients (Cronbach’s alpha) were calculated as 0.75 for the positive leadership scale, 0.81 for organizational creativity, and 0.82 for psychological empowerment.
Findings: The results indicated that psychological empowerment plays a mediating role between positive leadership and organizational creativity. Moreover, positive leadership had a direct effect on organizational creativity as well as on psychological empowerment.
Conclusion:Positive leadership directly enhances teachers’ organizational creativity, while also strengthening it indirectly through psychological empowerment. Thus, psychological empowerment serves as a key mediating factor, amplifying the effect of positive leadership on organizational creativity.
