Abstract
Introduction and Purpose: Organizational identity, trust, and integrity are among the most important components that strengthen social capital in organizations. Examining the relationship among these factors can provide a better understanding of the mechanisms that enhance cohesion and efficiency in educational institutions. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between organizational identity and organizational integrity with the mediating role of organizational trust among employees of the Kazeroon Department of Education.
Methodology: The research method was descriptive-correlational. The statistical population included 1,700 employees of the Kazeroon Department of Education. Based on Morgan’s table, a sample size of 313 participants was selected through simple random sampling. Data collection tools included three standardized questionnaires: Organizational Identity (Cheney, 1983), Organizational Trust (Payne, 2003), and Organizational Integrity (Kaptein, 2005). The validity of the instruments was confirmed by experts and the supervisor, and reliability was confirmed with Cronbach’s alpha coefficients of 0.78, 0.89, and 0.86, respectively.
Findings: The findings indicated that organizational identity had a direct and significant effect on organizational trust (β=0.708, p<0.05) and organizational integrity (β=0.716, p<0.05). In addition, organizational trust significantly affected organizational integrity (β=0.227, p<0.05). Bootstrap results further showed that organizational trust mediates the relationship between organizational identity and organizational integrity.
Conclusion: The results demonstrated that organizational identity, by strengthening organizational trust, can directly and indirectly enhance organizational integrity. Overall, organizational trust plays a key mediating role in improving cohesion and organizational effectiveness.
